Mid-afternoon visit and there are large numbers of people here enjoying the good weather. The real ale is served by gravity dispense from a couple of casks on the bar. I notice that bottled beers from the Compass and Appleford breweries are also available.

The pub is found in Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX4 4EL.

A delightful and slightly isolated, riverside pub on the southern edge of Oxford. There is no road access and the pub is most easily approached from Iffley Lock or simply along the Thames towpath by foot or bicycle from the centre of Oxford. It was converted to pub use in 1842, having previously been a farmhouse. Historically this was a Morrells Brewery house, and for many years it traded as the Isis Tavern. Re-named after a change of ownership in 2008, this premises is now more like a licensed café than, strictly-speaking, a pub. The bar area has two distinct sides and there are extensive grounds, including a large riverside beer / tea garden.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
