Late-evening. It is Sunday, but the pub is even more crowded than it was on Friday evening. I notice that a bouncer is checking ID on entry, so the crowd cannot be quite as young as they appear to me. Again, I am unable to see the full range of cask beers on sale.

Late evening and very busy in this huge pub. Predominately a young crowd and cocktails seemed to be the drink of choice. I was unable to see the full range of cask beers on sale – but other than the one we all chose it appeared uninspiring.

Purple Moose - Glaslyn Ale4.20Not TriedUsual 'Spoon's trick. Clip showing but not available. Barman said line being cleaned and would be on tomorrow. When asked by clip not turned round he said he did not know and did not turn it round. So as I left I turned it round to put JDW the right side of the law and customer focus!

A huge Wetherspoon's pub that was converted from a theatre originally built in 1920 on the site of the Market Hall. Entrances at front (Gloddaeth Street) and rear (Market Street) on different thoroughfares. Opened in 2001, it was then the largest pub in the UK. Spacious areas on split levels including a family dining room. Lift available. 10 handpumps in 2 banks each of 5.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 12 different beers and tried 4 of them.
