Busy, but only one other customer using the little rear area – the latent celebrity-spotter within me noting that this was renowned cellist Julian Lloyd-Webber, a man with whom I share a footballing affliction.

The pub is found in Mayfair, Central London, W1J 6NL.

An historic mews pub that was established in 1754 and which retains some elements of its Victorian bar fittings. A small bar area, with pavement standing outside. Posh restaurant upstairs "The Guinea Grill". Reported in early 2024 that the work, which involved expanding into the next-door building has now been completed and the pub has reopened. The new rooms are for dining and have been fitted out in a similar style to the rest of the pub. The two public bar rooms remain untouched.

We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried 1 of them.
