12:00 I was the first one in. Had a good look around and regaled the Landlord with tales of my last visit to the pub 43 years ago.

On CAMRA's Heritage list as a pub interior of National Importance and deservedly so. Central ornate bar surrounded by a number of drinking areas that would have formerly been separate rooms. The former jug and bottle is still in situ and is complete with wood and leaded glass screen walls. Good tiling on a number of walls. In early 2018 4 handpumps were introduced, the first time the pub has sold real ale for many years.
