17:30 My mate's first visit since the renovation and change of name. He was impressed by the infused beer.

21:45 Post theatre drink. Busy both in and out. The bar man explained the infuser, the tall column shown in the centre of the interior photograph. Supposedly the only one in use in a pub in the U.K., it has a central chiller and the surrounding cavity is filled with a flavouring such as strawberries as in the picture, or hops as it was tonight. The keg beer is drawn from its container through the infuser.

18:15 Passing by noticed it had opened after the renovation so went in. Four other customers. The work is still underway with a mezzanine floor yet to open and a Gin Palace under development on the first floor.

The pub is found in Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 4AL.
Formerly the Hog in Armour the pub had a complete renovation and re-opened as the Mash Tun in July 2014. Modern interior with four handpumps and up to sixteen micro-brewery keg beers. The keg beers come through glass topped pumps that show the colour of each beer.
We have visited this pub 8 times, seen 28 different beers and tried 10 of them.
