5pm just as the pub opened for the evening. The landlord made me very welcome and talked about the Calthorpe Arms in London. My plans for eating were dashed when I learned that the fish and chip shop up the road closed about a year ago.

Late evening visit, with plenty of locals in situ and two other busy pubs in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, an ambulance had to be called after somebody suffered a fall in the back bar.

Big Lamp - Sunny Daze3.60AcceptableGolden, malty. Something not quite right to my taste.

The pub is found in Felling, Tyne and Wear, NE10 0HQ.

A small pub standing close to Felling Metro station. Often listed as the Wheatsheaf, the signage on the ornate pub frontage suggests that Wheat Sheaf is the correct form. We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 3 of them.
