I was the second customer through the door after opening on a blazing hot Saturday morning. Soon started to fill with lunchtime diners.

The Melton Constable is a large, detached pub set close to the beach at Seaton Sluice. Much of the emphasis in the main bar area is on dining, although tables are set aside for drinkers who do not wish to eat. There is a conservatory area at the rear, plus outside seating at the back, overlooking the Seaton Burn.
