Pit stop on our way South on a Friday lunchtime.Bizarrely, a party of primary school children left the pub as we entered.We sat in the snug under the portrait of the greatest Yorkshiremen of all time.

Returning our son to the groves of academe,lunch and beer were called for on a Wednesday lunchtime.A great, if pricey Yorkshire pub.There's a venerable Youngers "Father William" lamppost in the car park: I'm not sure if it is operational.
