The pub is found in Leytonstone, Greater London, E11 3HN.

A long-established pub which has been here since at least 1718. The pub was rebuilt in its present form in the 1930s and was well-known for its four room layout – with the comfortable ‘Churchill Room’ at the back. Historically a Charrington’s pub and known for its draught Bass, it was acquired by the Voyager Pub Group in 2000 and suffered a controversial ‘refurbishment’ and opening-out, resulting in the current spacious single-bar layout. Many will say that all of the atmosphere and most of the customers departed at this point, never to return. Patio tables at the front and garden at the rear. The pub has had a rather chequered recent history with more than one period of closure.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
