Very busy with a largely younger crowd. If I were a student I'd probably quite like this place. Not cask from what I could see.
Electric Bear - Rwy'n Hoffi Coffi | 4.60 | | It wasn't cask and it was served super cold. Once it had warmed up it wasn't too bad. Coffee and elder berry |
22 Dec 2019 (Jack William)
Stop 9 - but not even Doom Bar on tap. I settled for a whisky while I toured this eclectic venue. One off my “repeat visit” list.
14 Jul 2018 (Andrew)
Umm came here because Ian had heard it was good and like a pseudo Brewdog pub. We sat and watched a bit of England-Belgium.
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | |
14 Jan 2017 (ChrisE)
Just the one cask beer on and two draught ciders plus an array of upmarket keg beers. I had a quick half and moved on.
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | |
27 Dec 2014 (Jack William)
late afternoon - few in - four hand pumps - but only one on - apologies from the bar staff - they have been closed!
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | | Bland but well kept. |
11 Oct 2014 (Jack William)
Early evening. About a dozen people distributed around - can take 10 times that before getting crowded. All TVs showing football - but volume on one only - and not intrusive.
Two beers "coming soon" - Spitfire and Crawler, Golden Ale.
Cottage - Battle of Britain | 4.50 | | Bit metallic on first quaff - but good malty flavour that lingered well. |
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried
Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin) | 4.50 | Not Tried
