11:05 My first outing by train for a month. The litany of problems with my journey led me getting to Witham earlier than planned so I killed time by coming here. Only one beer on as delivery was later that day. Pleasant enough pub.

The pub is found in Witham, Essex, CM8 2DE.
Beside the railway station, recently renovated and re-opened following a fire. The building dates from 1842 but the interior has been given a mediaeval farmhouse look. Very smart overall.
