The pub is found in Dunwich, Suffolk, IP17 3DT.
Coastal hotel and pub in St James Street, in what remains of the once great port of Dunwich. The main building contains the dining room and accommodation whilst the bar is in a smaller building attached to the right hand side. The bar has a tiled floor and some built in seating, L shaped counter with plain boarding on the long side and interesting panelling on the short. The bar back is noteworthy. It is similar in style to a Victorian What-not with turned spindles supporting small shelves. In the centre there is a glazed hatch that presumably served drinks to waiting staff attending to other parts of the building in times gone by.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 8 different beers and tried 4 of them.
