The pub is found in Snape, Suffolk, IP17 1SL.
Large building in Bridge Road, at least 400 years old. The centrepiece is a superb double settle snug around the fireplace. The pub suffered in the December 2013 storm surge resulting in the bar being damaged. The replacement has been moved through 90 degrees and the resultant space has been filled with a curved built in bench which makes a fine drinking area. The main room forms an L shape, off this is a further room with a good herringbone brick floor. The former bar back is still in situ, part of which is reclaimed linen-fold wooden panels from the Dorchester hotel. Closed April 2023. Re-opened late 2023 as a pub with major emphasis on food.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 1 of them.
