Absolutely jammed in here. We were told that cask beer had 'run out', but were tempted by a new Camden Brewery beer launching tonight.

Early afternoon. Here for my granddaughter’s birthday party in the upstairs function room. Very few in the bar to start but filled up by 5. Bit disappointed that only one of the three pumps were in use - but it was a good brew from the local Hammerton brewery.

13:45 One chap at the bar and one asleep in a chair, a music video was being filmed in the cellar. Apart from that we had the pub to ourselves.

Formerly the Cross Kings the pub was renovated and renamed in 2010. It is a sister pub to the Star of Bethnal Green and operated by the Electric Star group. Still two bars, it is predominantly a music pub with a stage in the rear bar and a cellar club.
