Our gen suggested that this pub had closed down and the pub frontage seemed to confirm this, but, encouraged by villagers, we pushed a few doors at the rear of the building and one yielded into the Public Bar. Very much a locals’ place, but we were made most welcome.

Coors - Hancock's - HB3.60PoorNot exactly a classic beer to start with, and when served icy cold and with a thick head it becomes blander than bland.
