Mid-afternoon following a (mostly) pleasant walk from Blyth. I have a damaged knee, so am well-pleased with myself for having got this far and sink into a comfy chair.

The pub is found in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland, NE64 6AT.

Traditional high street pub with separate lounge and bar areas, to right or left when through the main door. Usually just one cask beer on sale, but the display of pump clips suggests they get through them at a rate. Reported as having been radically modernised by new owners during Covid-19 lockdown with little now left of the various elements that brought it CAMRA heritage regional inventory recognition.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
