Visits Details

15 Apr 2015 (HSB)
18:00 We had intended to visit other pubs south of the river but the volume of traffic made us cut and run and get through the Blackwall tunnel as soon as possible. This pub was characterful to say the least. One lady asked us if we were the male strippers, as we range in age from 60 to 79 I suspect her tongue was firmly in her cheek. The pub was peaceful when we went in with people watching the cricket. However the music in the Public Bar was then switched at top volume, and at the same time a professional karaoke singer started up in the Saloon Bar. It was like the seven circles of hell.
