Early evening, only a handful in but welcoming. Knowledgable young bar person - chat about the low key Sheps marketing including the independent looking sign and the two Sheps beers shy of their parentage (regular Whitstable Bay had run out).

Traditional back street pub on Middle Wall with a 2015 makeover, after which it re-opened in late March 2015. Original narrow front bar now opens into a horseshoe arrangement with a larger back bar. Garden with a beach theme - all shingle and decking including 4 beach huts with open sides providing cover.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
