Jam-packed full of people, all clutching their precious tickets to see Sparks at (what I still call) the Town & Country Club over the road later in the evening. Crowds spilling onto the pavement in all directions and across the road. Not an evening to appreciate the finer architectural detail of this particular boozer.

Evening just in time to see England ladies team score its penalty in a 1-0 victory over the Germans. Good (bad) to see 2 large Meantime tanks out on the bar floor endorsed "Brewery Fresh".

The pub is found in Kentish Town, Greater London, NW5 2TG.
Imposing corner house a stone's throw from Kentish Town railway and Underground stations in Kentish Town Road. Two floor levels, inside the bar cabinet work, etched glass and bar-back, wall mirrors and ceiling are all of exceptional character and design. There is a skylight in the former billiards room at the rear. 5 handpumps.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 6 different beers and tried 2 of them.
