Mid-afternoon - swift one before my train. Lively. Ps, if you think you need the loo here then go - by the time you get there you WILL need it. Only one of the two banks of pumps noted.

Just before noon, waiting for Donna’s to open. I believe that this is my very first pub visit in Sittingbourne ever. Pleasant ‘spoons - I liked the picture of Dali.

Much busier than I expected for a Tuesday afternoon but we managed to find a table without difficulty. Service was good, as was the beer range, once again I have not listed them all. We decided to search the internet to find out why the pub is called the Golden Hope, the answer is on JDWs web site.

One of the nicest Spoons that I have been to. A good mix of customers, friendly staff and a very keen manager who came over and talked to us about beer. All of the beers that were on the bar were available now, most encouraging.

Early evening. Only a few days old but already a good crowd in. Beer range pared down from its opening day and neither my colleague nor I were tempted by the offerings.

The pub is found in Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 1DR.

Sittingbourne's second Wetherspoon house opened on 21st July 2015 in the old Court House in Park Road at its junction with High Street. It has 3 high quality letting rooms. Downstairs there is one long bar which runs virtually the length of the main building (the Park Road side). Located off the main bar are many inglenook areas, with open fire places. The other side of the building (High Street side) has three converted prison cells, as eating areas. The rear of the property has a courtyard with ample areas to stand / sit and eat/drink etc. - with a covered area just in case of inclement weather. The front of the building also has a raised patio area which is closed off from the main road and accessible from inside pub only. 12 handpumps in 2 banks, each of 6.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 22 different beers and tried 5 of them.
