Evening until close. Fearing a food house atmosphere I was pleased to find just 3 locals chatting to the barman on an obviously quiet night.

The pub is found in Woolwich, Greater London, SE18 4LT.

In Shooters Hill Road at the foot of the west side of the hill itself, a Greene King Hungry Horse chain pub until closed in July 2024 to be relaunched and re-opened in late August 2024 as a more standard Greene King pub but still with major emphasis on food. It has a large interior divided into different areas with an extensive pub food menu with several real ales. The walls are adorned with pictures and stories of local famous residents such as Boy George and Manfred Mann. 4 handpumps. Closed in July 2024 for a massive refurbishment then re-opened late August 2024 as a Greene King pub, rather than as part of its Hungry Horse chain.
