Early Friday evening. The front bar is busy, but almost no-one has ventured through to the back bars. A third cask beer may have been available.

This Norwegian-run pub is really very lovely and I wish it was more obviously on one of my routes as I visit all too infrequently.

The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E9 7AB.

An attractive pub built in 1862 as the Kenton Arms, the external design being inspired by the coat of arms of the Kenton family. Traditionally a Charrington’s pub, there are effectively three separate rooms (although more open plan than they once would have been) and a small garden. At some point in recent years the word ‘Arms’ has been dropped from the name.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
