Late afternoon quiet compared to the Unthank Arms. Wait to be seated sign and table service still the order here. Alas contrary to the description this pub has now fallen foul of the gastro pub grey plague and bears no resemblance to HSBC's photos added to a lack of beer choice inspires me to move on, unlike yesterday's Grantham crawl where nigh on each pub I could've remained much longer than I did.

18:10 Just us, but the presence of two bar staff and a chef implied that they were expecting to get busier later.

The pub is found in Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 2AS.

In Leicester Street, a street corner pub recently (2014) reopened with a new landlord following a dispute over fabric repair. Opened up into one L shaped drinking area but has so far escaped the all encompassing gastro-grey plague and boasts a lovely old bar back complete with mirrored drinks advertising along the top panels. [Update now gastro-pubised.] Re-opened summer 2023 after a short period of closure with new managers.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
