22:00 As I was staying at the Lion it seemed rude not to sample the bar. Just two others in. Interesting chat with the barman about his annual pub crawl by minibus. He kindly demonstrated the working screens for me.

Famous coaching inn situated on Wyle Cop. Grade 1 listed the hotel is steeped in history and boasts a list of former noted guests including Charles Dickens. The entrance boasts a classic revolving door and to the left of this entrance is the small cosy public bar called the Oak Room. As the name suggests the room is lined with oak panelling. The small servery has working screens that are lowered at close of business.
