Very friendly village local with beer served straight from the cellar. No fruit machines or noisy teenagers, only skittles! Good firework display the evening we were there as well as food. Landlord is kiddy and dog friendly, always a plus. Off my beaten track but will make a special effort to return.

In the High Street a small traditional country pub, unusual in two respects in that it has no bar, all beer being served straight from the cellar and also having no lounge, instead several little rooms. Garden to rear. Skittles Room. Is listed in CAMRA's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors as 3 star. Sold by Greene King in 2013 to the small Camelot pub group.
