Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Young's Winter Warmer | 5.00 | A seasonal beer I used to look forward to back in the 1970s. Not certain if I have drunk this since being brewed at Bedford. A shadow of its former self. | |

The pub is found in Limehouse, Greater London, E14 7LS.
Set on the corner of a square in Flamborough Street that was supposedly the inspiration for the location of Eastenders, and a short walk from Limehouse station, this street corner pub is famous for being where the Queen Mother was photographed pulling a pint. The pub sign bears her likeness in commemoration. The interior consists of three rooms, with the rear two being relatively un-modernised. The larger front bar has undergone some renovation but still retains, albeit unused, a glass food counter display case. These were a feature of many London pubs when scotch eggs and pork pies were the main choice offered at lunchtime. Former Young's house now in private ownership. Reopened in 2023 after 3 years of closure.
We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
