Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Bridge & Tunnel - Bound by Chains Double IPA | 8.20 | Bridge & Tunnel’s special Beer Week beer, brewed with all-New York State ingredients. It is a great, full-flavoured, strong, hoppy, rye beer. | |
Other Half - Other Half IPA | 7.10 | Reddish-amber in colour. A fairly routine (if such a beer can be called ‘routine’) strong US-style IPA. | |
Rockaway - Just Kidding, English Mild Ale | 3.50 | Not Tried | Cask-conditioned. Unfortunately I only spotted this was available at the point when I was leaving. |

The pub is found in New York, America, NY 10003.
Something of a Manhattan craft beer institution, Jimmy’s is owned by Jimmy Carbone, a well-known chef and beer enthusiast. Established in 2005, this is a cellar bar, underneath another pub and next door to a third one – so there is no lack of choice around here. In fact the East Village is full of pubs. There are two small, arched-ceiling rooms; one is a stand-up bar area and the other primarily for dining – currently with a Philippine-inspired menu.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
