Many pubs in the area seem to either close of don't serve food on Tuesdays. It's like they think it's still the 1950's. Still, in this sea of laissez-faire opening hours the Ashford Arms stands tall. Friendly staff in this establishment that feels like a cross between a pub and a hotel. I think it was a combination of the 1960's crooners on the stereo and, near Goachers Lightness of, the Brampton bitter that made me like it here so much. This place was very Plymouthesque in the late 80's.

Brampton - Best Bitter
4.20
This is my kind of bitter. A red fruit body with an peppery leafy hop. The sweetness of the juicy malt shines through.
