16 Jun 2016 (Stephen Harris)
We arrived here early to get good seats for the televised England v Wales match and in the event had the pub pretty much to ourselves for most of the afternoon. Returning in the late evening we found the place packed and just managed to squeeze in downstairs.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ninkasi - Noire6.60ExcellentA thick, black beer with coffee, chocolate and liquorice flavours.
Ninkasi - Sgt. Pepper4.00GoodA pale gold beer in the Saison style. Cold and well-carbonated. Refreshing. Only a little sour, it is flavoured with black pepper, the taste of which builds up over the pint.
Ninkasi - Fruitee5.00GoodA sweet and sour fruit beer with sharp raspberry flavours.
Ninkasi - IPA6.00AcceptableAmber in colour with US hop tastes – but I found it too heavily carbonated to really appreciate.

The pub is found in Lyon, France, 69001.

A city centre pub in little, pub-filled Rue de l'Arbre Sec, close to the Opera. The pub is much bigger than it first appears, with a few pavement tables and an airy front bar. There is another room behind plus a basement bar which is often used for live music.

We have visited this pub once, seen 8 different beers and tried 4 of them.
