No obvious changes since my last visit over 10 years ago apart from the cleanliness has improved exponentially. Busy late afternoon with many groups in, sadly including a group of loud screeching seagulls. No room at the bar so I purloined a reserved table booked for 18.30.

Mid afternoon on a sunny warm day we sat outside. Pub remarkably different to my previous visits. Scruffy exterior/interior, dirty sticky tables and filthy glasses.

The pub is found in Maida Vale, Greater London, W9 2PX.

Pub with a dark green frontage in Warwick Place, blending with the rest of the terrace. The pub retains various Victorian features despite some modernisation, and is featured in CAMRA's London Regional Inventory of Pub Interiors. Artist and illustrator Edward Ardizzone painted the pub in the 1920s. Note the leaded windows with varied shades of coloured glass inserts. Inside three drinking areas and a secluded side room with marble fireplace. Grade II listed, the present pub dates from 1846. Named after the original landowner, who married Jane Warwick of Warwick Hall, near Carlisle, in 1778 after whom several local streets were also named in the mid 19th century. The area around is very mixed and hence the clientele can be.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 6 different beers and tried 2 of them.
