Evening visit and plenty of business both in the outdoor and indoor areas. A good well run pub.

Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale)4.20ExcellentIn very good condition.
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70Not TriedWe returned this as "just slightly on the turn" the beers were exchanged for Spitfire and the Master Brew was taken off sale immediately and the pump clip removed before cleaning the lines and replacing the beer with Samuel Adams.

Evening visit, I had not been here before and was quite impressed with the décor and the fact that they had a display cabinet stuffed with ham rolls, pork pies and scotch eggs. We had spent a few hours listening to 1950s music in the previous pub so I could not resist selecting Patti Page singing "How Much is that Doggie in the Window?" on the juke box.

A quiet evening in here with a few locals around the bar, where the conversation was on the subject of pub condom machines.

The pub is found in Bloomsbury, Central London, WC1N 3ES.

A solid, Victorian, street-corner pub in Great James Street, dating from 1850. Quite nicely preserved. There are a few pavement tables at the front. No longer Shepherd Neame as at December 2022 and closed whilst new operator Berkeley Inns takes over. Now re-opened.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
