Our base for tonight as the accommodation is very good value. We had our first drinks in the public bar which was lively with local lads playing pool and the juke box, a good welcome from the girl behind the bar who checked us in for our rooms and gave us a cheaper price than the one we had been quoted. Second pint was in the saloon bar which was quiet at the time.

Mid afternoon visit friendly and welcoming atmosphere spoilt by loud music. However after checking in we drank in the other bar which was much more civilised and away from the noise.
