People in the nearby Admiral's Arm recommended this place to me for beer and food, I only tried the former but most of the other customers were eating.

Evening visit latish. A bit icy at first but in the end a good chat with the Guv about real ale, CAMRA, Mad Cat Brewery and African grey parrots, of the latter there was a beautiful caged example in the corner

In High Street a substantially extended (over the years) pub with 2 bars and a substantial emphasis on food sales. 3 handpumps in the large rear bar and local ciders sold from a chilled cabinet on gravity dispense.
