I had never been here before but it was recommended by one of our group, well worth a visit. I enjoyed it.

A lively pub close to the statue of King Alfred and handy for the omnibus station. It has previously been named the Old Coach House and the India Arms, these days it sports a good selection of ales, has a good food offering along with pool and sports television screens.
