My first visit here, I had spotted whilst on the way to the Horseshoe and decided it may be worth a look. Very much sports orientated today but I suspect the food offering may be more prominent on weekdays.

Mid afternoon visit. My colleague wanted to try the place, I'd normally walk straight out seeing the range on offer. Half way through our drinks the bar area erupted with people and din at a TV rugby match half-time.

The pub is found in Clerkenwell, Central London, EC1R 0BJ.

In Bowling Green Lane a large corner pub with 4 handpumps on the bar. Lots of TV screens make it popular for big sport events. Opened in 2005 as Bowler after major refurbishment and in the 2020s renamed after an American singer and civil rights activist.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
