A generally middle aged to elderly trade on a sunny October Saturday.We sat in the corner of the bar and admired an ancient photo of Sussex cattle harnessed for draught work.

A Georgian brick facade on a earlier building. Approached by steps - the pub stands lower than the present day road level. A pleasant front bar,heavily beamed, bare boards and open fire. Smaller rooms laid up for dining to the rear.
