The weather had turned chilly and I was pleased to find a comfy chair next to the log fire in here whilst waiting for my late-afternoon bus to Colchester from the stop outside.

The pub is found in Brightlingsea, Essex, CO7 0HT.

A town centre pub in Victoria Place, that has been present here since at least 1828. This is a characterful building, half-timbered and with many wooden beams. The main room is long and narrow with the bar counter to one side, and there is a games room to the rear with a pool table. Real fires.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
