Hammerton - This is the Way | 5.10 | From key-keg. Much evidence of Amarillo hops in this. | |
One Mile End Brew Co. (formerly Mulligans at the White Hart and then WH Brew Pub) - Bavarian Breakfast | 5.00 | From a keg. A thick, golden, slightly sweet wheat beer. |
Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Burnt Mill - Pintle Pale Ale | 4.30 | A golden beer with a prominent hop content (Cascade and Citra). | |
North - Mosaic Chinook Session Pale | 4.30 | A cloudy orange colour. Very well-hopped, with loads of Mosaic character. | |
Twisted Barrel - Inspired | 4.00 | Another golden, US-hopped Pale Ale (I do seek them out) and it’s another cracker. | |
Project 88 - Simcoe Table Beer | 4.00 | The first beer I have seen from this tiny London brewery. Perhaps it does not quite stand up alongside the very good beers I have tried here. It has a dry Simcoe character with a malty finish. |

The pub is found in Willesden, Greater London, NW2 4QY.
A small, shop-conversion premises immediately outside Willesden Green tube station. It was first converted to pub use in 1996 when it became part of the small chain of McGowan’s Irish pubs. In 2016 it re-opened as Beer + Burger, with around 20 keg taps and a very large range of bottled beers. No cask beer is sold. There are seats and a standing area for drinkers at the front, with a raised area for diners at the rear. The bar was for a while supplied by the nano-sized Project 88 Brewery.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 6 different beers and tried them all.
