Lunchtime drink with a friend before we head off to a BBQ. There are a good number of people here and we stand outside.

I met up with Dave R to see the latest incarnation of this pub which we had both used at times in its Young’s heyday. I draw the line at Doom Bar (Dave loves it) so had to look at the keg beers.

The pub is found in Clerkenwell, Central London, EC1R 0HA.

A small pub in a well-preserved Georgian street, Sekforde Street, just off Clerkenwell Green. Built in 1828 and traditionally a Charrington’s house, it was owned by Young’s from around 1985 to 2014. Has since experienced a period of closure, before re-opening in late-2017. The main bar area is at ground floor level, with a restaurant / function room upstairs. One handpump on the bar.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
