Lunchtime fairly quiet just a half dozen drinkers dotted about in this proper back street local. Friendly welcome from the jovial barman who doubled up as Co-Vid sentry.

Large L-shaped pub. Lots of medieval nick-nacks on the walls and a gaol/ghoul end where I sat. Assorted quiet background metal and rock was playing on the stereo (oh, and some Doobie Brothers). I liked it.
