Early evening much busier than expected, standing room only so I sat outside and supped my beer. Many more folk arrived during my short stay clarifies the popularity of this pub.

A most enjoyable visit with a good welcome from the guv. We sat at the table by the window and enjoyed a couple of pints each. This pub now sports a real time bus display for the stops outside which we found to be of a real benefit.

Late afternoon and busy, we perched at the table by the bar and chatted to a chap familiar with SE London's MicroPub scene, many I've yet to do.

Afternoon visit, busy inside and outside, both at the front and the rear garden area. We split in to two groups and managed to find seating. I left earlier than I originally planned when I discovered that there were more trains cancelled from nearby Winchmore Hill than there were actually running so it was a bus to Wood Green for the Piccadilly Line.

Evening visit until 10pm close. A long tube/bus trek prompted by ChrisE's earlier glowing emails today to say this place was superb. Worth the effort indeed, along the Micropub theme soon into conversation with a local and the Guv. Great little place and the ales are moving fast. Quantity available and quality of real ales spot on. Make sure you give this place enough time for a purposeful visit.

Afternoon visit and quite busy with room to find some seats, unfortunately the former bus seats were taken so we sat at a table by the window and watched the world go by. A good friendly guv made us most welcome, a proper micropub and well worth a visit. Pub games include Shove Halfpenny and Carrom.

The pub is found in Winchmore Hill, Greater London, N21 2AD.

In the very long Green Lanes this shop conversion Micropub, which opened on Sunday 27th August 2017, is rather remote (for London) but served by the 125 and 329 bus routes which stop outside. Real ales and ciders are served on gravity dispense from a temperature controlled cellar room behind the small bar counter. Gins also sold as is wine. An eclectic variety of seating and tables abound in the bar and some fair-weather pavement seating is provided outside with a rear garden too. It is named after the former Courage house The Green Dragon which closed and was later turned into a supermarket and which is nearby. Usually 4 cask ales on sales and 2 keg beer lines. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2018 then awarded Greater London Regional Pub of the Year 2018, an astounding success in less than a year of being open. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year again in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024. Greater London Regional Pub of the Year 2024.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 24 different beers and tried 9 of them.
