1st visit of the outing: A barn of a place was this Greene King pub laid out for dining with cutlery and napkins in holders on each table. Quiet but for one toddler's cries evident on entering. Immediate service at the bar as there was no one else in front. Just the one real ale on and whilst the Sunday lunch was entirely edible, it was not on a par with the average café roast dinner I have had of late. A rather cold and barren interior made it even less welcoming and whilst my table was clean, the floors sounded sticky in just moving my feet slightly under the table.

Decided to pop in here while waiting for the Kentish Belle's 1600 opening time, we sat in the quieter left hand bar which had a couple of lone customers.
