I went in here pretty much on spec and was very impressed. Very busy with roast dinner eaters at 4pm on Sunday and only a small number of us perverse enough to come in just for a beer or two.
Elusive - Sphere of Destiny (Pacific Gem) 4.40ExcellentGolden and crisp. Fully focussed on the Pacific Gem hops.
Elusive - Frenzy4.30GoodCloudy gold. A very soft mouthfeel and served a bit too warm. Fruity and bitter hop flavours.
London Beer Lab - Little Hopster3.80GoodA house beer for this pub. Hazy gold. Light and refreshing. Unusual hop flavours – I wondered even if it is a Green Hop beer.
Elusive - Swoop3.60AcceptableA clear, golden beer. Lightly hopped for a ‘Session IPA’.
Pig & Porter - Slave to the Money4.10Not Tried
Pig & Porter - Blackbird Dry Stout4.00Not Tried

About The King & Co.

The pub sign. The King & Co., Clapham, Greater London

Summary of Beer Scores

The pub is found in Clapham, Greater London, SW4 7BZ.

Traditionally the Kings Head, this pub in Clapham Park Road was acquired by Antic after a string of unsuccessful theme-pub ventures. It then suddenly closed, in the way that sometimes happens to Antic pubs. It was relaunched as King & Co. in September 2014 and is now something of a champion of independent breweries. It is a mid-terrace pub in a residential area with a single room and patio seating at the front. There are six handpumps on the bar.

We have visited this pub once, seen 6 different beers and tried 4 of them.
