Lunchtime and teeming with mostly families with young children and loud music playing meant everyone engaged in conversation had to shout at each other. By far the worst drinking atmosphere one could imagine but the beer choices were spot on.

Lunchtime a few drinkers at the bar also a group food order for the upstairs seating area. Spacious friendly with attentive staff going about their duties. Soft non xmas (bah humbug) chillout background music got the thumbs up from me compared to the Shoulder Of Mutton. A well deserved GBG entry which was refreshing to see.

A quick recce through the town revealed that this was by far the busiest pub at noon. Often that would turn me off, but today I made it my first visit in an exploration of some of this interesting town’s pubs.

The pub is found in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, HX7 8JP.
A large, town centre pub that was earlier called the Inn on the Bridge. Although an old building, the interior has a bright and modern appearance. There is a spacious ground floor bar and a restaurant area upstairs. Patio tables at the front. There are ten handpumps on the bar.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 22 different beers and tried 3 of them.
