We arrived at Alresford on a charter train from Kent and had a couple of hours in which to choose from the five available pubs, we intended to do three but in the end we stayed longer here and only did two of the pubs on our list. A very good atmosphere in here with the gentle hubub of conversation blanking out the very low level background music. A nice pub/restauarant.

Old coaching inn in the centre of Alresford in Broad Street, close to the Mid Hants railway station. This was once a Lion Brewery of Winchester pub and later Strong's of Romsey. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished. Dog friendly.
