Where a brewery was, there is also a brewery house. This forms the heart of the huge old brewery site, which was acquired in 2000 by the Runkel family after the bankruptcy of Steffens Brewery. Roots are full of adventure world and event catering and have transformed the brewery into a quaint-antique restaurant museum: The walls are plastered to the last millimetre with old enamel signs, hanging from the ceiling Grandmother's doodles in a dozen bundles, wooden beer crates with ironing bottles from the early 20th century are deliberately in the corner by chance - in short: In the old brewery Kasbachtal you feel transported back into the dimness of rural brewhouse idyll.
