Evening, opening session. Marquees in the Rugby Club for the second year. Not too crowded. Lots of familiar faces. Unfortunately I didn’t find a beer with a “wow” factor. Just listed those I tried.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Backyard - Nelson Sauvin IPA5.00ExcellentMy favourite of the night, albeit it could have been a couple of degrees cooler.
Peerless - Knee-Buckler IPA5.20Good
Beartown (latterly part of Manning Brewers) - Bluebeary4.00GoodYes - definite blueberry notes, but not overpowering.
Brumaison - 1770 London Porter4.70GoodWell balanced porter - not too heavy.
Reedley Hallows - Beer O'Clock3.80Good
Brumaison - Beulter4.60GoodRecommended by Keith Lane - likely to be on at The Lanes in the future.
Brew Buddies - Juicy IPA5.00GoodJust a bit heavy on the bitterness I thought.
Stonehenge - Eye-Opener4.50AcceptableDidn’t live up to the description.
Larkins - Pale4.20PoorMy first beer on a fresh palate - I was not impressed. Warm and a bit tart.
