An ancient pub which stands close to the River Thames, upon the Chiswick/Hammersmith border. It is a Grade II-listed building with low ceilings. Probably founded in the 16th century and rebuilt in present form in the late 18th century. There is an extensive rear garden. There are six handpumps on the bar counter.
