Early afternoon visit and I was the only customer (I passed by later in the day and it was busy, No cask available so I chose a can of their own brewed Koelsch Green Hop which was very nice but nothing like any Koelsch that I have ever drunk in Koeln. A very good chat with the bar staff and brewers who gave me a generous selection of samples to try. I was surprised to discover that they have their own canning plant in the cellar.

Stop 5. Surprisingly busy despite COVID restrictions- mask on when moving and table service only. Interesting but not really my sort of place. We sat in a tiny corner with a sea view. 3 other of their own brews on “brewed on site and served right from the tank!”
Xylo - Sabro Pale4.80GoodA fruity, soupy opaque brew.

A first time visit for me. The smell of brewing was delightful, the beers from this new brewery should be available very soon. No cask beers so I chose a stout from the list of kegs from breweries that I had not heard of. I sampled a very nice Oyster Stout named Oyster Card which had been brewed in the cellar of this pub on a small kit in collaboration with another craft brewery. Fresh oysters were used in the brew.
