Comfortable cosy 'proper pub' atmosphere, deep, faded carpets, multi rooms and a wood panelled bar made for an unmodernised social environment with many folk abound in conversation complemented by soft background music. I've only listed what I drank.

Mid to late evening friendly welcome and not too busy in this edge of town unpretentious suburban multi roomed carpeted and wood panelling proper drinkers pub. The subtle lighting and a jazz band playing at a reasonable volume made for a superb atmosphere. Am disappointed this is my last pub to 'tick off' in Christchurch, I would've happily made another visit otherwise. Far too many beers on to list, I've only noted what I drank or offered. Unexpected and worthy of note are the four cask beers on hand pull, duly noted.
